World Record


A member of the Royal Australian Navy Game Fishing Club, L/S Phil Bensted of HMAS Curlew, on May 2nd,
landed a 94½ lb. yellowfin tuna while competing for the Navy in the Sydney Game Fishing Club Competition.



L/S Phil Bensted shows his hugh catch to Commander John Lancaster, CO of HMAS Rushcutter and Lt. Keith
(Dolly) Gray, also from Rushcutter. Commander Lancaster is President of the Royal Australian Navy Game
Fishing Club and Lt. Gray is Secretary-Treasurer.


The pending World Record was caught by L/S Bensted on a 12lb. breaking strain line.
